NorReg at the CE4RT conference in Dingle Peninsula.
"The main aims of the project were to gain knowledge about sustainable and regenerative tourism, with participants receiving education on tourism practices and delivering sustainability strategies for their companies."
The NorReg partners had a warm reunion of sorts at the Dingle Peninsula during the final conference for the CE4RT project. The Nordic presence in CE4RT was significant, with tourism SMEs participating from Iceland and Finland alongside colleagues from Ireland, Poland, and the Netherlands. The main aims of the project were to gain knowledge about sustainable and regenerative tourism, with participants receiving education on tourism practices and delivering sustainability strategies for their companies.
The Iceland Tourism Cluster led the project on behalf of Iceland through Ásta Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir, director of the Cluster. This ensured a connection between NorReg and CE4RT, fostering fruitful networking among regenerative tourism enthusiasts. Ólöf Ýrr Atladóttir, project leader of NorReg, contributed to the project with a masterclass on Citizen Science for visitors, one of NorReg's focal areas. She also participated in the Dingle conference, discussing key points for guiding small and micro-sized tourism enterprises.
