New Book on Creative Tourism and Destination Resilience
We are thrilled to announce the release of the CREATOUR Observatory’s latest publication, Creative Tourism, Regenerative Development, and Destination Resilience! This inspiring book is the culmination of a remarkable collaborative effort, showcasing insights and expertise from leading voices in creative and regenerative tourism.
About the Book
This book stems from the international conference, “Creative Tourism, Regenerative Development, and Destination Resilience,” held from November 8 to 10, 2022, at the Arquipélago Contemporary Art Centre in Ribeira Grande, São Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal. The content is thoughtfully organized into two comprehensive parts:
Part One: Synthesizes key insights from three dynamic panel sessions.
Part Two: Features eight selected papers from the conference, highlighting regenerative and creative tourism initiatives across diverse contexts, including Australia, Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, Japan, Spain, Brazil, and Canada.
The chapters delve into the theoretical underpinnings of these innovative approaches while offering practical examples that respect and reflect the unique contexts in which they were developed.
